Fraunhofer's Personnel Certification Authority
Fraunhofer's Personnel Certification Authority at Fraunhofer FIT certifies, in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17024, that a person attended a professional training course and demonstrated in a subsequent exam a set of relevant skills and knowledge. Currently, certification is available for courses in Usability Engineering, Data Science, Process Mining, and Distributed Ledger Technology, which are offered by Fraunhofer FIT or where Fraunhofer FIT is involved in, and also for courses in Digital Twins, Fiber Composites, Lightweight Materials, Metal Additive Manufacturing, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Quantum Computing, Scientific Training, and Hydrogen Use for Transportation. For Usability Engineering and Fibre Reinforced Plastic certificates, the Fraunhofer Personnel Certification Authority is accredited by Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS).
Our certificate attests that a person has professional experience in a field, attended a specific training course and demonstrated state-of-the-art knowledge and skills relevant in a professional activity. The combination of expertise in research, practice and innovation at Fraunhofer FIT guarantees that our exams test relevant skills and state-of-the-art knowledge. Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS) has accredited Fraunhofer Personnel Certification Authority to certify the professional expertise acquired in usability engineering and fibre reinforced plastic training programs in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024. To renew our accreditation, DAkkS annually checks that our working procedures, which are being applied for all certificates we issue, conform to ISO 17024.
Fraunhofer Learning Center
As a regional branch of Fraunhofer Academy, the Fraunhofer FIT Learning Center promotes certified professional education. We combine development, marketing, and infrastructure for digital learning in a streamlined process model that accelerates knowledge transfer within Fraunhofer‑Gesellschaft and to our partners.
Generative AI & Human-Centered AI
Our new GenAI cluster covers relevant areas of AI expertise: The AI Literacy Assessment determines the maturity level of a company's AI skills and derives individual learning paths. In Gen AI for Personal Productivity, participants explore a wide range of AI tools hands-on. Gen AI and Data Protection presents effective protection mechanisms against prompt injection and similar threats. Human AI Teaming discusses how humans and AI can optimally combine their strengths. Usability & Human-Centered Innovation
The certificate course Usability Engineer provides the basics of sound UX design in accordance with ISO 9241-11, -110, and -210. The Design Thinking Professional and Innovation Prototyper courses teach the advanced skills needed to develop innovative and human-centered solutions. The Digital Sustainability Manager course is our response to the growing need for sustainable and efficient use of resources.
Data Science
Our Data Science track courses cover big data basics as well as special topics such as data management, data science in production, and process mining. Participants learn how to use data strategically and implement data-driven optimizations in their companies.
Distributed Ledger Technology
The Certified Blockchain Professional program bridges the gap between Web3 innovation and industrial practice. Our courses are led by experts with many years of practical experience. Participants apply blockchain, NFT, and governance concepts to use cases from their individual companies.
