The World's First Conference Dedicated To Advancing Human-Computer Interaction in Space Exploration

Fraunhofer FIT, in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, San José State University, and a global network of academic and industrial partners, holds the annual SpaceCHI conference. 

Once again, the conference will feature keynote talks from astronauts and world-leading space experts, offering a unique venue to connect with enthusiasts from around the world and help pioneer the next generation of space technology.

In the spirit of inclusivity and global collaboration, SpaceCHI 2026 will adopt a hybrid format, welcoming both on-site and remote participation.

SpaceCHI maintains a broad, interdisciplinary focus and welcomes contributions from researchers and practitioners across diverse fields, including HCI, design, aerospace engineering, AI, robotics, psychology, medicine and space architecture.
